Metabolism - The Energy Generator Factor

The keyword metabolism has its roots in the Greek term connoting overthrow or change. Metabolism refers to a multifaceted biological and biochemical process. All organisms must under metabolism to survive. Metabolism involves the cells and the living organisms in our body. Metabolism metamorphoses the compounds that are basically chemical in nature.

It was way back in 1614 that details of the maiden experiments (under controlled state) were brought out in black and white. It was Santorio Santorio?s tome Ars de statica medecina. Immediately after the publication, he became famous across Europe. In the book Santorio explains in detail his series of pain-staking and time-consuming experiments. First, Santorio used a steelyard balance. Next, he suspended a chair to it. Then, he sat on the chair and had the weight taken and recorded during several stages. The situations were prior to having a meal and again after finishing it; while sleeping; as well as when he was working, having sex, and even while undergoing a fast. What is more, Santorio recorded his weight when he was deliberately not taking any alcohol and above all as he was excreting. The findings were startling. Santorio discovered that he lost the lion?s share of the food that he taken in perspiration that was insensible (perspiratio insensibilis).

Metabolism engages a complex set of intricate methods like anabolism, catabolism via the metabolic pathways. Anabolism is that progression when complex molecules (basically organic) undergo biosynthesis. Catabolism is the breakdown of these molecules. Metabolic pathways are the procedures taken by the enzymes in pre-determined sequential mode. Total metabolism points to an organism?s biochemical processes. Cell metabolism means the chemical moves within each cell.

Metabolism has been classified into carbohydrate metabolism, fatty acid metabolism, protein metabolism, and nucleic acid metabolism.

Carbohydrate metabolism proceeds via several pathways to control our sugar levels, degrade the sugar, and convert these items into different metabolites so that our bioenergetic processes keep on functioning smoothly. Here?s an overview of how the process gets going within our liver. Glycogen, a polysaccharide, is broken down in the liver. This polysaccharide is transformed as glucose, and then mixed with our blood. Mentionably, prior to the releasing of the glucose into the blood system Carbohydrate metabolism breaks down glycogen into the ion, glucose phosphate. This ion has the potential to even destroy the blood cells. Hence, Carbohydrate metabolism takes the necessary precautions by taking the help of an enzyme which gets rid of the phosphate, and thereby ensures that only pure glucose is released into the blood. This enzyme is located within the endoplasmic reticulum membrane.

Fatty acid metabolism biologically produces energy from the carbon and fatty acid sources that we take. Fatty acid metabolism takes place via a two-fold process, viz., catabolic and anabolic. The former produces primary metabolites as well as energy from the fatty acids. The latter gives birth to vital molecules again from those fatty acids. Therefore, fatty acids are vital compositions of our body system. Fatty acids like proteins or carbohydrates and Triglycerides are also necessary to modify the proteins. Mentionably, the steroid hormones are also extracted from the fatty acids. Two fatty acids are stored in each cell membrane composed of phospholipids.

Protein catabolism breaks down the proteins and transforms them into the important amino acids. These amino acids are then used to create more such acids as per the Krebs Cycle. The transformed amino acids and other simple compounds are then allowed to enter plasma membrane. It is within the membrane that protein metabolism mixes them with ribosomes and RNA ribonucleic acids. Thus, protein metabolism takes forward the complex polymerization process and changes the broken down amino acids into proteins that are virtually the energy generators of our body.

Nucleic acid metabolism produces the necessary inputs that generate energy. Nucleic acid metabolism is similar to the synthesis process of lipids and polysaccharides. Nucleic acid metabolism forms the proteins and nucleic acids from their primary raw blocks. First, the process eliminates the inorganic pyrophosphate and carries forward a very complex process to form the nucleic acids from nucleoside triphosphates.

Emergency Cash Generators

No One Really Knows When They Are Going To Run Into Hard Times...

That's why everybody needs a Quick Cash Backup Plan. A way to raise some cash quickly in case of an emergency.

In "Emergency Cash Generators" you will find many different ways people are using to generate cash quickly. Some people use these little ventures as a way to fill the gaps in their income. Others only apply these methods when they need to. They keep them locked away like precious jewels until they need to generate some extra cash. Still others use these techniques to be able to afford the finer things in life.

You will find these techniques to be a breath of fresh air!

(Emergency Cash Generators)

John McNesson

P.S. -- The bonuses alone are worth far more than the cost of the book.

Great advice:

"Nobody's able to succeed or fail without an influence. Your experiences are determined by who you believe, from among those that encourage or discourage you. And you have to understand that losers are always more convincing. But their outcome is never a result of inability...just influence.

Break the plague, man. Prove 'em wrong."

Why you should fuel your generator with natural gas

For those people who have invested or thinking about investing in a power generator for back-up power needs, extra electrical needs, or portable electrical needs, a big consideration should be the type of fuel that is used. There are many sources of fuel for providing electrical energy from the generator including gasoline, natural gas, diesel, solar, wind, and a few other fuel sources as well. The type of fuel selected for a generator can have big impacts on everything from the environment, cost, and electrical output. Sources like gasoline and natural gas are non-renewable where as solar and wind come free and are renewable. For continuous, high energy output, gasoline and natural gas are better fuel sources. These are just a few of the considerations. Natural gas, however has some major points over the other fuel sources and is recommended in this article.

Why is natural gas a good fuel source for generators? Well first of all, a lot of homes use natural gas to fuel stoves, ovens, and even fireplaces. Those who have paid the gas bill will often find it is much cheaper than the electrical bill. For those unlucky people with electric ranges, electric water heating, and other electricity dependent heating, the high price of electricity is a big cash vacuum. The price of natural gas is very good compared to other fuel sources as well. The energy output provided verses the cost is better than that of diesel and gasoline.

When it comes to generators, most backup generators work better with natural gas because the supply is already coming to the location. Most homes have a pipeline for their natural gas that can be harnessed by backup generators to supply electricity when other sources are not working. Automatic transfer switches can determine when there are blackouts or other electrical problems and supply electrical power produced from the location's natural gas source. This means that there is no need to purchase any additional fuel for the generator as it is already pulling from a decent costing fuel source in natural gas. This can not be achieved with some of the other fuel sources as well.

Another reason natural gas should be used in power generators is it's energy production which is comparable to that of gasoline and diesel. For people who have natural gas products, the energy output is not even noticeable but the cost is. Natural gas makes the energy to cost ratio efficient. For portable generators, the same output can also be achieved as natural gas can be supplied to the generator much like how a barbecue grill is supplied. This makes supplying fuel to portable units easy as all that is needed is a canister of natural gas that just needs to be plugged in to the fuel line.

Natural gas is also cleaner than both diesel and gasoline. Natural gas will cause less engine buildup and lead to longer lifetime of a costly generator. There are also natural gas conversion kits for many types of generators that allow changing the fuel type. These conversion kits can help extend the usefulness of old generators by using natural gas as the fuel type instead.

Natural gas is not only a good energy source for homes but also a good one for portable or emergency power generators as well. They provide high, continuous amounts of energy at a very efficient cost to both residential and business users.

Hydrogen generators safety

Using and handling hydrogen presents many dangers, when air and hydrogen is mixed risks of an explosion highly increase because the mixture is highly explosive.

When working with hydrogen generators you mast be very attentive. the room where the hydrogen generator is placed should be very well ventilated, an outdoor zone if possible, and everything must be done to eliminate the risks of explosion and fire around the hydrogen generator.

When using and handling the hydrogen generator incorrectly, it may produce excessive heat and dangerous chemical reactions. For example, if the hydrogen generator is removed from its water tank while it is operating it will overheat and high risks of fire appear. If you wish to remove a hydrogen generator from the water you must wait first for the generation of the hydrogen to stop.

All the equipment on the nitrogen generator should be grounded, to prevent static electrical charges from generating. This can be done connecting the equipment to some copper wires which are planted 3 or 4 feet deep inside the ground. The cooper wires tied to the generator should be placed in such way that the resistance between them is less than 1000 ohms, and if you can't do that, increase the number of wires so that the resistance between them is never more than 1000 ohms.

Also, the grounding stakes of the hydrogen generator should be connected to the water can or to balloon launcher. All the metal parts should be interconnected through grounding wires and they should be cleaned in such way that the bear metal is exposed. Wires and alligator clips can make the job easier.

If the persons who are handling the hydrogen generator are wearing wool or fur, they must be grounded themselves, because these types of clothing may conduct static electricity. This can be done if the people are wearing a wristband connected to the ground through a copper wire.

If taking all these precautions the risks of hazards seriously decrease.

Link Swapping - The Best Traffic Generator

In an article I wrote recently, called Five Point Plan for Promotion, I suggested swapping links with people already linking to your competitor's sites and this generated a few questions about how to do that specifically, which is what I shall attempt to explain here.

For the benefit of those of you who have come in half way through this conversation, swapping links benefits you in two significant ways. Firstly in generating highly targeted direct traffic from those links and secondly in making you "popular" to the search engines' algorithms, thus improving your rankings.

Don't worry about the technicalities of this, just know that the more links you have back to your site, the better off you are with some of the engines. They all work differently, they all change their way of working - develop - so it is impossible for those of us who come under the heading of "average" to keep up with the finite detail.

Why Competitors?

Don't get me wrong. It would be a mistake to go out on the net with the attitude of beating the competition into submission with unfair tactics. That is not what this game is about. The net has opened up the possibility for more bartering, sharing and cooperation and in the long run that will get you further. It is a method especially suited to low-budget marketing.

By all means study who is popular at what you do and strive to be better than them. The top reason I suggest linking to those who link to your competitors is because, intrinsically I am lazy! I am assuming that it will be less work to persuade those people - who are already in the business of linking - to do so again.

Nuts and bolts ...

So how do you do this exactly? First, find out who comes up at the top for the keywords you use to find your site. Do this by searching several search engines at once using WebFerret or Copernic2000. You'll soon see who keeps scoring again and again. Now you want to find who links to them and those will be the people to whom you write requesting a link-swap.

One way you can try it is by using the little add-on that Alta Vista provides. That kindly adds an option (in Internet Explorer 5) to the Tools along the menu, called "Find pages linking to this URL" - thus go to your's or your competitor's page and hit the button. Download the tool here: http://doc.altavista.com/help/search/linksearch.shtml

There is also specific syntax you can enter into each search engine's box, which will make it look for a URL, rather than for keywords. They all seem to have different requirements.

Many of those are listed in an excellent article, Web & Search Engine Facts You Need to Know to Win the Marketing Game, By David Gikandi. The article has a lot of information on each of the major search engines and how they work, including "How to check how many pages link to your site". David is a programmer at SearchPositioning.com. (www.searchpositioning.com). A copy of the article can be found at:
http://www.tucats-design.com/news/issue9.html

Also, there are several of these specific syntax requirements listed in Boogie Jack's Webmaster Tips program, FREE download and well worth it, from:
http://www.boogiejack.com/tipaday.html

Once you have found your targets, visit the sites, find the webmaster's email address and write offering a link swap. Personalise the email, stress the benefits to the other party - it will benefit their traffic and search engine rankings too - and you should have a reasonable success rate.

One quick boost, following along the principles above, is to participate in a simple system called Search Engine Beater http://www.ismy.net/searchbeater.html
